Register on Playtomic
Playtomic is the app we use for booking. Make a free account, set your level, and search for the Padel Collective, Austin. Tap the heart to add us to your favourites, so our courts, classes and open matches show up first every time you open the app. Book padel courts, the Intro to Padel, group clinics, open matches and tournaments there
Private lessons are the one exception. Message Archie, our Director of Padel, on WhatsApp
Playtomic rates padel players from 0 to 7. Pick an honest starting level, it keeps the games fun. Never played: start with the Intro to Padel or a private lesson. Played a bit: a beginner or intermediate clinic, or an open match. Play a lot: advanced clinics and Up and Down nights. The three paths are below
Arrive fifteen minutes early, check in at the front desk, and borrow a racket if you need one. Then ninety minutes on an indoor, air-conditioned padel court. Padel is played in doubles, the ball can come off the glass, and the points are short and social. Most people are rallying in their first session

Stay and unwind
The part other padel clubs in Austin do not have. A coffee or a smoothie from Revolución, a seat in the lounge, the sauna and the cold plunge, or a desk in the coworking space. The game is the excuse, the Oasis is the point
Our WhatsApp group is where open play fills up, where last-minute court spots get shared, and where you find a fourth player at 6pm. It is also the fastest way to ask us anything
All of it is on our Playtomic page. Courts and open matches are on the main tab, classes and clinics are under Academy
Never played
Start with the Intro to Padel
A complimentary first session with one of our coaches. The rules, the serve, how the glass works, and your first rallies. Rackets and balls are provided. On Playtomic, open our club page, go to Academy, and look for Intro to Padel
Prefer one on one? Book a private lesson with Archie or Stephan. Your pace, your game, one thing fixed at a time, and the fastest way from zero to a real match
Beginner and intermediate clinics, or an open match
Clinics are small groups with a coach, sorted by Playtomic level, so you learn with people at your stage. Expect a warm-up, one or two themes like the volley, the lob or playing off the back glass, then points that use them. Under Academy, pick Beginner or Intermediate
Or just play. Open matches are games that need players. Browse the open matches on our page, find one in your level range, join and pay your share. Show up, play, add the result, and your level updates
Advanced clinics work on tactics and the shots that win points at 4.5 and up: the bandeja, the víbora, the chiquita, net positioning as a pair. Under Academy, pick Advanced
Advanced Up and Down is the sharpest game in the building each week. Levels 4.5 to 7, ninety minutes, winners move up a court, and the top court at the end is bragging rights until next time
Open play that is organised for you. Find them on Playtomic under Competitions, sorted by week
Weekly
Up and Down
Short matches on several courts at once. Win and you move up a court, lose and you move down, so within a few rounds everyone is playing someone their own level. Ninety minutes. Intermediate night for levels 1.5 to 3.5, advanced night for 4.5 to 7
Our weekend tournament. You play with a different partner every round and your points count for you alone, so no one is carried and no one is stuck. All levels, ninety minutes, and the most social way to meet twelve new people
Sunday morning, two hours, all levels. Relaxed rotating games with coffee from Revolución in between. If you want to try the club without committing to a match, this is the one
The everyday way to play. A member books a court and opens the spare spots with a level range. Join one, or book a court and open your own. The WhatsApp group is where the gaps get filled
How do I book a padel court in Austin at the Padel Collective?
On Playtomic. Open the Padel Collective club page or the Playtomic app, add us to your favourites with the heart so we are one tap away, then pick a court and a time and pay there. Courts are booked in 60 or 90 minute slots and you can add the other players to split the cost
I have never played padel. Where do I start?
With the complimentary Intro to Padel. Find it under Academy on our Playtomic page. A coach walks you through the rules, the glass and your first rallies. Rackets and balls are provided, you just bring court shoes and water
What is an open match?
A game that needs players. Someone books a court and opens the remaining spots on Playtomic, with a level range. If your level fits, you join, pay your share and show up. It is how most people at the club find a game
What is Up and Down?
Our weekly open play format. Everyone plays short matches on several courts at once. Winners move up a court, the others move down, so after a few rounds you are playing people at exactly your level. Ninety minutes, with a version for intermediate players and one for advanced
How does the Playtomic level work?
Playtomic rates players from 0 to 7. You set a starting level when you sign up, then it adjusts as you log results. Beginner clinics suit roughly 0 to 2, intermediate 2 to 4, advanced 4 and up
Do I need my own racket?
No. We have rackets at the front desk, and the shop has demo rackets if you want to try before you buy. Court shoes with non-marking soles are the only thing we ask you to bring
Is it air-conditioned?
Yes. All five courts are indoors and air-conditioned, which is why padel in Austin works here in July as well as in October
